Creative Moments

Well there are mounds of scrapbooking supplies all over my desk so I might as well do a few more pages before I clean it all up! Isn't that what a long weekend is for? That and cookin up a storm for 6 people all weekend..... and a few guests here and there.  Greek salads, pasta salads, Cesar salads and lots of BBQing - these summer temps are wonderful.

Adorable and Smart

Look what I got done. I am loving the new 6X8 photos that I can develop at Blacks for 29cents with my prepaid card. Inspired me to pull out the glue!!

Of course I am also loving these photos I took in early June of our  "adorable AND smart" grand daughter.

I am now working on a page of Harold in his costume - photos of him are here and here

Cute!

Walked in the door from 5.5 hrs on the road today, put the laundry etc away and was busy putting my camera equip away when I spotted this photo sitting on this paper. It is simple, but it works. 15 min tops. Loving pink. Lovig MME "quite contrary" line. Perfect girly stuff. Check out the MME LUSH brad on the flower, bottom right.

Good to be home!
Another weekend filled with things to do....  I am too old for this. I need my weekends to recover and power up for the following work week. So I will do NOTHING next weekend.... except perhaps a little scrapbooking, the gym and maybe a bicycle ride with sweetheart? Think it is too soon to get the bikes out?
Glad to have Mark home for the week.

My Sweetie Pie

Oh My! I need a nap.
EDO today - Earned Day Off AKA - "NO the SHR will NOT pay you overtime!"
It also means Everything Done in One day, so I made a list last night of all the stuff I have to get done on my EDO....groceries, car insurance paid, put highlights in hair, frame and hang four pictures for the guest room (did this while the highlights were baking for 49 minutes), hang the mirror in the guest room, get the weeks laundry done(four loads), pay the bills!!!!!(depressing), go to the gym (yup got there at 0620 hrs), and prepare a pork roast dinner for son Mark arriving home from Thompson today (last update at 1603 hrs ~ Melfort). The roast is in the oven and the potatoes are done!

So I said to self
"Self! If you can get all this done today you may scrapbook"

Yeah self!!
Isn't she just the sweetest most beautiful baby? She is even cute when she spits. And I taught her how to spit.

Then I said to self "Self, you had better have a power nap after you upload this because you aint going to make it through supper."

My Sweet Angel

You'd think she was my own... but she will be for 2 weeks. Haha and the photos I have planned and the cuddling and the spoiling!!!

Think I's a little addicted to pink?
ah yeah!!!

Inspiration came from Wilna, as it often does. Saw her recent post, fell in love and in 30 minutes had this page done. Love it when that happens. Ain't that the beauty of the scrapbooking community - love you all! Keep inspiring me!!

Designer Digitals

My husband went to work on Sunday afternoon - normally I would frown at the prospect of spending the day without him, but it meant I could get 6 loads of laundry done, sort through some messes on my computer and then get distracted with some ideas from  Designer Digitals - the most inspiring digital scrapbooking site EVER - seriously I have yet to find another digital scrapbooking site that even comes close to product and talent of such high caliber as Designer Digitals.
When you are ready to take the leap, head on over there.

The results of my distraction today are....

Took this photo of the Broadway St bridge about three weeks ago. I love it! So it needed to be scrapped - this page took 10 minutes using a 25 cent template that I just recoloured.
EASY!!!!
This page cost 25 cents!! The silver Saskatoon letters were a freebie and it cost $2.50 to get printed at Costco - sweetheart is picking it up as I type.

And then I went hog wild with the pink - just because I CAN!!

Aint she a beaut?
A real keeper I say!!
Nope! You can't have her!!
I miss her all ready!

If you care to see all my digital layouts, you can check out my gallery HERE
The "albums" have multiple layouts in them so go head and open them up.

Have a blessed day everyone and do take time to look at the incredible moon we have tonight!

A day with the grandbaby

The day began with a fabulous cup of (decaf)coffee made in this french press - I have to get one.
Breakfast is our favourite part of B&B!

then off for a morning walk with Grandma and Grandpa and Mom
We were off to Great Grandma's house to see her roses.

and her of course

I think Tanis has something special going on with GG

Lots of cuddles with grandpa

and papa

A special new family. One blessed and loved little girl.

We had a great supper with Allie's parents and then headed back to the B&B.

This is the night time view of Whiterock and the ocean from our B&B The two lines in the sky are jets passing by - long exposure and no tripod.

Blessings!

guess where I am?

Hard to believe this alert, smiling and attempting to talk little girl is only 5 weeks old.
Just like her daddy - in a hurry to grow up!

We are expecting wondeful music from these fingers. Just like her Mommy.

Can I hear it? Who is the # ONE grandchild?

New Grandparents

Finally! I found some space on my desk to actually scrapbook. I have been waiting a long time to use this beautiful girly paper and embellishments from Deja Views and Yellow Bicycle.
The photo doesn't look quite so dark IRL.

The Miracle of New Life

The absolute BLESSING of you

PINK! PINK!! I get to use PINK!
In my few moments of relax time during the day - often at 5am, I worked on this page of this beautiful little girl. Just because I LOVE looking at her and long to hold her.... and I am enjoying using pink!!

I have been a Grandma to this little girl for six days now and have not had any time at all to go buy something pink. Today is looking full again. Ahhhhhhhh Is there a baby clothes store out there that opens at 5am?

We will miss seeing this little gem every day, watching her grow up but will get in as many visits as we can.
I am so sorry I didn't get a picture of Dale and Danny (Allie's parents) with their new Granddaughter. Perhaps next visit.
